The Nature of the Blade

Towering granite peaks blanketed in snow and wreathed in mist. Dark pine forests that remember the ages before man walked the earth. Rivers flowing through winter valleys like black ribbons that erupt in silver fire when touched by the light of the moon. The first warm kiss of the sun in spring bringing the promise of the renewal of life after months of ice and darkness. The first cool winds of autumn whispering through the leaves of aspen and birch, the needles of spruce and fir that it is time once again for the season to turn. The scent of sage after the rain, the cry of the loon, the bugle of the bull elk, cutthroat trout rising at a high mountain lake turning the surface into a cascade of diamonds glistening in the summer sun. These primal memories, the spirit of nature captured in metal, wood and stone.

At Winter Mountain Forge, each blade is hand forged, ground, heat treated and finished with the quality and attention to detail that can only be found in a hand crafted blade.
